Guy Diamond Ph.D
Individual, couple, and family counseling
My approach
I developed attachment based family therapy over the past 30 years at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University. This model focusses on improving family relationships as the primary driver of growth. Working with individuals, couples, or families, I’m always thinking about how current and past relationships impact our life satisfaction.
My Background
I am Professor Emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Associate Professor at Drexel University. At Drexel, I was the Director of the Center for Family Intervention Science.
My primary work has been treating adolescents and young adults struggling with suicide, depression, anxiety and trauma. I developed and tested a family therapy model to help mobilize the family as a safety net for these troubled youth. For the past 30 years, we’ve tested this model and it is now adopted in clinics all over the world as an empirically supported treatment.
